The pupils in Year 7 and 8 have been hard at work creating animations for the national Animation 16 competition (sponsored by Manchester University)
For several lessons we have explored generating a suitable idea, storyboarding that idea, then designing the characters (many of them hand-drawn and then scanned in and edited in Photoshop)
These characters were then animated using the program of their choice – usually Scratch or Flash. The pupils have worked very well in their teams to create some amazing ideas and animations. Fingers crossed that they do well in the competition.
Here’s a few examples of the work done by one Year 8 class.
